As you may or may not know, last night Jimmy Fallon took over the late night time slot long held by Conan O’Brien.  While this is good news to me because I will now be able to stay up late enough to watch Conan at his earlier time, you are probably wondering how this is at all relevant.

Well, my friends, here is the answer: Jimmy Fallon (or at least his show) has gone green.

Everything on the set of Fallon’s new show, which debuted last night, is made of recycled materials.  The seating is reclaimed and refurbished from Radio City Music Hall and all the paint used is low or no VOC (volatile organic compounds).  The floor is made of bamboo, the lighting is green, and FSC plywood was used to construct the set. Bravo to NBC for making the effort to do this.

Good pics of the set are hard to come buy since it was debuted less than 12 hours ago, but I’ll share any with your once I get my hands on some. Until then, be sure to check out Fallon’s show tonight.

I’m not sure if I want to hang this lamp or try to wear it.  Appropriately called Glamour, this suspension lamp features rows of individually hand-soldered metal links finished in 24K gold.  Add an elegant detail to your home with the romantic and fashionable Glamour.

The Glamour is from Terzrani, whose “everything is light” ideology has created a collection of lamps that are more than accessories, but rather sculptures of light.

Architects Seth and Jonathan of Graypants formed the company to make a difference through design. While their projects are all quite impressive, it’s what they did with unwanted drafts and plans that really caught my eye.  Rather than through them out, these guys made them into lamps- and really cool lamps at that. I think they’d work equally well in a living area or a workspace. And because they are made from these architects’ plans, no two are exactly alike. You could even wind up owing a “copy” of a design that turns into a top seller.  Genius.
