In keeping with yesterday’s theme of puzzle-like furniture, I bring you the appropriately titled Puzzle Table Collection by Patou Design. This is a limited-edition collection in which each piece is individually numbered and embossed.  The collection includes console tables and cocktail tables (pictured here) that resemble puzzle pieces in both form and function.

Oh Ligne Roset why must you tease me?  If only I could afford your fabulous designs. . .

Pictured here is Confluence, a new seating line at Ligne Roset that features a series of modular seating units that fit into each other like a puzzle.  With Confluence, you can rearrange the pieces to make your own forms.  Simple yet brilliant. Be sure to check out designer Philippe Nigro, who created the series for Ligne Roset.  I took a look at his site today and it’s very impressive to say the least.

This one comes from Gianluca Soldi, an eco-conscious architect.  Soldi designed the Ovetto Bin to make recycling easier, more organized, and ultra modern in style. The Ovetto Bin offers three segregated divisions for your three types of recycling, making it less of a chore to recycle and more of a habit. Plus it looks cool too…kind of like Eero Saarinen meets EVE from WALL-E (but that’s a good thing!)

What do you think of this? Designed to have a calming technique, the Tavelland River Table features a “river” that continually runs through it. I’m not sure it makes a great work space, but I think it could work well as a console table or more decorative piece. This table was designed by Oliver Beckert, who is part of the New York based industrial design collective Elseware.

I don’t usually like to “borrow” from Apartment Therapy, but today I am making an exception. Yesterday, AT posted these chairs and they got such a negative response I felt the need to put them on here to see if anyone else might have an opinion to share.

For the record, I’m personally not a fan.  You don’t touch an Eames classic, just like you don’t remake a Beatle’s song. And if you do, you at least make a reproduction for the sake of affordability, you don’t take outrageous liberties like this. Anyway, enough about what I think. Your thoughts PLEASE!

Love these floor lamps from Leucos.  Leucos isn’t new, but they are fabulous. If you haven’t heard of them before, Leucos has a great collection of modern lighting that combines old world glass techniques with modern engineering. Browsing their impressive site is always a great way to find some inspiration for your home.  Pictured above are two of my new favorites. The one on the left is probably a bit more practical for my home, but the other one is just so much fun I had to show it. Check them out here.
