Now this is cool.  Created by designer Cem Tutuncuoglu, the Tulip is an interactive lamp that lets you decide its look and shape.  Four “petals” peel away to reveal LED lamps which represent the stigma and anther of the flower. It’s certainly original, and since it’s interactive too it gets two thumbs up from this blogger.

This chair is just downright awesome.  I can’t decide if it looks like a puzzle piece or like it wants to give me a hug. Either way it looks soooo comfortable, and I would love to put in my living room right across from my flat screen and spend a relaxing day. Ever wonder what it feels like to be on cloud 9? Well, designer Richard Hutten apparently wondered what it was like to sit up there. From Richard Hutten comes the Cloud Chair. A brilliant illustration of his unique vision, this limited edition chair is both whimsical and ultra modern. The Cloud Chair is made of polished, nickel-plated aluminum.

More sculptural than practical (in my opinion at least) this chair is sure to make a statement. I don’t foreseeing it finding a home in my home or yours anytime soon, but office building and hotel lobbies seem a likely scenario.

Like I’ve said before, I don’t really like to borrow from other blogs, especially ones like AT that I’m sure you all already check out. But… I felt the need to say something about this.  I love the look of the new outdoor furniture I’ve been seeing lately, and in fact the look of this trunk is pretty good too. The question here is, seriously?  Sure I’d like to buy an outdoor piece that’s essentially a box to lie in and suffer in the stifling heat. Who wouldn’t.

I love the way AT handled this too, posting a poll while at the same time making it pretty clear how they felt (and how I think we all do).I also love that in their own press release Royal Botania recognized this as the perfect place to play hide and seek………………………..

In their defense, Royal Botania has some really nice stuff. This piece I just don’t get though. Thoughts?

Ordinary lamps are out. Innovative lights that can go anywhere are in.  The ilamp is more than portable; it’s super slim and flexible, enabling it to take on any shape.  It’s firm enough to keep that shape until you want to change it though. Not sure Apple’s going to be too happy with the name, but a pretty cool product nonetheless.

I’ve been looking for a new bed for awhile, and well this one is wow.  Modern, luxurious, and comfort – it seems to have it all. This ultra luxurious bed features a headboard and base upholstered in leather. It’s so close to the floor which looks so relaxing and zen, albeit a bit unpractical. I don’t care though, I love it and I will have it… somehow.
