This is one of the coolest chairs I’ve seen in a while.  Called the Twist Chair, this chair has a unique look that creates your own little sanctuary. It’s said to serve as a sound barrier as well, which kind of reminds me of the design of the ball chair (and look how well that turned out!).

The Twist Chair’s designer, Jonas Lyndby Jensen, says this chair is for reading and resting.  Perhaps, but the look of this chair makes it more a piece to be admired in my opinion.Check out more outstanding work from Jensen here.

Undeniably practical but with a shape that makes it more interesting than your typical table, I think the Caesar Stone Table deserves a few minutes of our attention.

 This table was designed by Pedro Gomes for the Caesarstone Design Competition. It’s durable and light weight, and includes lots of storage which I love. With all that storage I think this could make a great desk too. Most of all, its look is original yet practical, which is after all what we’re all looking for.

Townsend design specializes in creating high-end custom furniture and lighting. Best described as industrial, and perhaps a bit random, these great lighting examples stray away from the status quo and aren’t likely to end up in Target anytime soon (yes, that’s a good thing). With so many people spending the majority of their day on the computer, it was only a matter of time before our décor started to reflect this. It seems to me that it’s very possible (and highly likely) that this will go too far, but for now my nerdy side is loving it.

We all know how much I love customizable things, and this is one of the coolest examples of it I’ve seen in a while.  Inmod.com has introduced a Pillow Design Studio that transforms you from shopper to designer. Easy to use (but horribly addictive!) you choose the size and fabric of your pillow, one of over 50 designs, and the embroidery color for each element of that design. And the best part is that Inmod is offering 25% of each pillow you design during its beta testing phase which ends on April 20th.

With mothers’ day right around the corner (I now know what my mom’s getting), I think Inmod may have just struck gold. Check out these modern pillows for yourself… unless of course you want to miss what I’m pretty sure is going to be everyone’s new décor addiction.

To here. I don’t even know where to start with explaining this interior, because the list of things I love about it is a mile long. I guess I could start by telling you that these shots are of the inside of El Tubo, a bar in Lima, Peru.  This space was designed by architects Felipe Assadi and Franciesca Pulido, who I very much recommend checking out here.

This space is cool without being cold, the perfect amount of extreme that it avoids being intimidating, and combines futuristic pieces with modern classics in a way that’s nothing short of amazing. So, who wants to go to Peru?
