These tables from Usona Home have an innovative look that adds something unique any living room. Called the AFRO Tables, each is made of recycled steel with exclusive laser cut processing.  The top is metal. This table is available in round or small, natural or lacquered, and in your choice of color. While it’s a little lego-esque (it’s a word now) I still think it would look pretty cool in my modern living room.

It rocks, but it never falls down.  The Headstand comes from Qed Design and offers quite a unique seating solution. An unusual balance point enables you to enjoy these seemingly ridiculous (but fun!) chairs in a way that’s both functional and comfortable (or so they say).  Am I the only one who thinks these would be really fun in a bar? Maybe it’s because I’m so tired today, but this chair looks like the best thing ever. Redefining the recliner, this chair takes it to a whole new level, and well the woman pictured here looks pretty darn relaxed to me!

This Gravity Reclining Chair is actually four chairs in one (though I was sold on just that first relaxing image…), offering four different relaxing positions it can be used in.  Shown here is the fully reclined position, which manufacturer Solas describes as entering “a sanctuary of unparallel comfort for the mind and body”. It even improves circulation as you rest, as your legs are positioned higher than you heart. I’ll take it!  See more from Solas here.

This table has a great overall look, but what I really love is its contrasting elements – a wood grain pattern on an acrylic table & an organic look made of modern materials.

The Timber Table comes from Gus Design Group, who claims to be “inspired by simple forms and honest materials”.  This table beautifully illustrates this, and shows how visually interesting it can be when two seemingly simple elements are used to contrast one another. There’s not much I wouldn’t do for a nice pair of D&G’s or Manolo’s, but this is a bit much.  I’ve seen these shoe-inspired bathtubs on several different sites now, and well I felt the need to finally say something. Even for the biggest shoe lovers, I think this tub might just be a little (ok a lot) over the top.

This innovative bathtub comes from SICIS, an Italian design and furniture company. In their defense, there is a lot of great stuff on their website, including some other cool bathtub designs like the one directly above. This one is definitely unique and slightly over-the-top glam, but I could see working in the right home.
