It doesn’t need much explanation – it’s just one of the best prints I’ve ever seen. Agree?  From my point of view it just seems to sum up my day, or at least two parts of it that I happen to really like.  This print, along with many fabulous others, can be found at Made By Girl. While I can definite appreciate the simplicity of the “normal” backyard gathering, I have to admit this stuff is really impressive.  Who wouldn’t want to spend hours relaxing here. Count me in.

Today I bring you the fabulous work of Sand & Birch Design Studio. Formed by Andrea Fino and Samantha Snidaro in 2003, this innovative studio re-interprets the concept of furnishing to bring it other meanings and to give new life to objects, all without sacrificing functionality (now that’s ambitious!). Here a few pieces that caught my eye – Above the Velvet Sofa and below the Diamond Sofa.

Here’s a great find from Etsy.  Appropriately named the Circles Table, this table has a fun retro look and great overall style. This table is meant to be assembled by you and promises to be both a quick and fun process.  This kit comes with everything you need to the table, including the highest quality Russian Birch plywood.  Assemble it and then choose the perfect finish.  Its quick, easy, and a definite great design.

Sang Hoon Lee is a product designer whose work is getting quite a bit of attention. His combination of iPod dock and light caught my eye, not because he was the first to combine the two (at least I think I’ve seen it other places) but because of its design.  It combines these “essential” functions, yet its modern, minimalist shape is great all on its own.

After checking out his site, I found out he has taken it even further. It’s now possible to have an iPod dock, speakers, light, and even air filter all combined into one simple and stylish and piece. This leads me to wonder what’s next? Could my espresso machine charge and play my iPod while ironing my clothes?  Right now it might sound crazy, but give it a year or so. You heard it here first. In the meantime, more innovative design from Sang Hoon Lee here.

I’d like to know what you think about this.  It’s wallpaper with “frames” in which you can draw something, attach a photo, or pretty much put anything you want. I think it’s genius and am defiantly putting it on my list of must haves for my new place. I love things I can personalize, and this wallpaper makes that easier than ever, while tying all of the different elements together in a cohesive design.
