Add a little sweetness to your morning with a quick and easy cinnamon bun recipe using a few simple ingredients you can find right in your kitchen.
What You’ll Need:
- Pilsbury Crescents
- Country Crock or another spreadable margarine or butter
- Ground Cinnamon Spice
- Sugar (preferably granulated)
- Brown Sugar (Optional)
Follow the directions on the Pilsbury Crescent package. Except when you take them out don’t shape them into crescents. They will come out as one giant roll, just separate them into circular shapes.
Once your biscuits are finished baking. Take a butter knife and add your spreadable butter (about 1 tbsp) in a mixing dish. Add about 1 tsp of sugar, sprinkle about a 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and a pinch of brown sugar – the brown sugar is optional but definitely adds that authentic cinnamon bun taste to the mix.
Use your butter knife to mix the butter, sugar and cinnamon together. Give it a taste test before spreading it on your biscuits. Add a little more sugar or cinnamon if desired. Then spread on your biscuits. The measurements given are for one biscuit so if you have 6 or more, just add to the mixture. This is best to do once the biscuits are fresh out of the oven because the cinnamon swirl mixture will melt on and into the biscuits.
This cinnamon bun swirl recipe is quick, easy and simply delicious!
