Take a Ride on the Cyclone Lounger

Part of the Coney Island Line by Uhuru Design, the Cyclone Lounger is inspired by the Cyclone Rollercoaster, one of the last functional rides left at Coney Island.

With a powder coated steel base that is laser cut to create modern lines, the Cyclone Lounger has a reclaimed wood seat. The wood is reclaimed from the demolished boardwalk that was once at Coney Island. The Cyclone Lounger is hand built to order, and is numbered and signed by the maker, Red Hook Brooklyn.

Uhuru Design, the design team behind the Cyclone Lounger and the Coney Island Line, opened in 2004 by Jason Horvath and Bill Hilgendorf. Similar to the Cyclone Lounger, the other items in the Coney Island Line are inspired by aspects of Coney Island and made from reclaimed materials from the are.
