Eco-friendly furniture is everywhere these days, but there’s something about this collection that caught my eye. These pieces come from Snake Island Furniture, a relatively new company that is committed to reclaiming, reusing, and re-envisioning distinctive pieces of wood harvested from Toronto’s windfall and deadfall. This rescued wood is turned into unique pieces like the one you see here. Adhering to its own “Do Only Good†slogan, Snake Island Furniture cuts no new wood and even plants a tree for every piece of furniture they sell.  That’s a sum gain for the earth, and a company that deserves a look from each of us.
