While this may not fit into our normal modern furniture discussion, I felt the need to share it with all of you. Probably impractical for most spaces except maybe log cabins, I’m really interested in the contrast between the brass chair backs and the tree trunk.
While it’s quite expensive, I decided to learn a little more about the Tree Trunk Bench. Turns out that for the 11,000 euros, you don’t even get the tree trunk. I guess logistically it doesn’t make sense to ship that, or in the words of a retailer selling the product “Jurgen Bey makes clear that it is ridiculous to transport trees when they are locally available. Therefore only the chair backs are for sale.†It’s just ridiculous, you got that? Ok enough from me. More from Jurgen Bey here.
