Today I came across some very cool baby furniture. Two words I wouldn’t usually put in the same sentence (cool and baby furniture that is), the Bloom Baby line of products successfully delivers both. Bloom Baby combines the function necessary in baby products with a sense of style not usually seen in these types of products. With a spacey, modern look, Bloom Baby’s furniture is able to keep up with the look of even the most modern home, while providing essential pieces for any parent. All of its products are designed with a focus on safety and sustainability, so you can feel good about using them.

Bloom Baby was founded by four dads who wanted to introduce innovation and contemporary design into a range of baby products. I think it’s clear they succeeded!

This weekend we finally got around to hanging the flat screen TV we bought way back in July. Since it had been sitting on a stand, there were plenty of little spaces to fit our DVDs and other small accessories and components. Though it looks great hanging on the wall, we have now found ourselves facing the dilemma of what to do with all of our DVDs. I started looking online and while there are a ton of options, something about the Muro caught my eye. It can be wall mounted, which was a must, but it also has a way of making a previously messy bunch of DVDs look like a piece of art on the wall. The Muro is made out of stainless steel and is available in different sizes to meet the needs of all different levels of home entertainment fans. See more really great things for the modern home from the designer, Blomus.

and make room for the Egg Bed. Designed with the same egg shape we’ve all come to love in the well-known egg chair, it’s impossible not to notice the Lomme bed. A good night’s sleep makes all the difference and the designers at Lomme are well aware of this. Lomme is the result of two years of sleep habit research and is designed to be a place to rejuvenate, meditate, and of course sleep.
There’s more than meets the eye with this bed. A color wheel enables you to adjust the strength and color of the internal light to best suit your mood. An invisible iPod allows you to play music, as the shape of the Lomme blocks external noise. The mattress is made of memory foam and is even available with a built-in massage system. The Lomme is a piece of furniture that seems to have everything, while looking like a work of art. There doesn’t seem to be any good reason to not take a second look.

Well if the answer is “a whole lot,” you may want to check out this unique line of pillows I came across earlier today. Featuring adorable designs of dogs and cats, your special pet will feel honored to see his or her likeness adorning your couch or bed. While honoring Fido, these pillows add a fun, unique accent to your home.

If you’re thinking of purchasing one of these (I’m thinking they make a great holiday gift for the pet lover), definitely take a look at the Pink Cha Cha Pillow (pictured above). For every one of these pillows purchased, a percentage of the proceeds are donated to Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Research Institute. Learn more.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve never been a fan of wallpaper. Almost every wallpapered wall I ran into looked outdated, and I always found myself thinking how much better it would look with a fresh coat of paint. Recently though, I’ve come across quite a few designers offering wallpaper with a modern look. Still skeptical at first, these great designs from Jocelyn Warner are starting to really challenge this feeling I’ve had for so long. If I do decide to take the plunge (and I think I just might), I’m definitely going with one of Warner’s designs. Above is Leaf Metallic and below is Kaleido.

If you like modern furniture with a space-age look, I’ve found you the perfect light. Called the Midnight Moon Light, this piece looks like it’s straight from outer space. This piece is truly original and immediately caught my eye. It gets its look from a combination of silk cocoon and stainless steel. For more unique pieces (and a really unique website) check out the designer’s site.
