roxanne

Lean back and relax on the luscious lips of Roxanne, a cheeky design by Sand & Birch. In a bright, beautiful red color, Roxanne is a fun interpretation. Roxanne is made in two styles: a soft chair made from polyurethane and fabric and a hard chair made from varnished polyurethane.

Sand & Birch was founded in 2003 by Andrea Fino and Samanta Snidaro to “to re-interpret the concept of furnishing and to bring other meanings, other senses and other lives to Objects.”

fold-out-desk

I absolutely love space-saving designs, especially when they are as smart as this one. The Fold-Out Convertible Desk solves a problem many people have at home- lack of a workspace.

fold-out-desk2

This innovative desk mounts to your wall like a wall cabinet. Simply pull it open when you need a space to work, and fold it back up when you need the floorspace more. It’s a simple concept, but a brilliant one. The cabinet even has shelves for your office supplies And at a reasonable $199, I say why not!

halley

Mystically light up your outdoors with the Halley, an arched LED lighting system designed by Jordi Vilardell & Meritxell Vidal for Vibia.

The Halley has several different options including:  floor-to-floor, floor-to-wall and floor-to-clamp options. You can mount it to the wall, clamp it to a table or just arch it from the floor. The bases can also be combined for another interesting arrangement.

For convenient storage, each piece can easily be taken apart. Although it is waterproof, the Halley also comes with its own carrying case.

To learn more about The Halley, check it out at Vibia’s website.

roll-out

Wallpaper has gone to a whole new level. Rollout’s Qrious wallpaper features a series of QR codes, each of which when scanned by your phone takes you to a different website at which you can find a daily dose of inspiration. My first thought it how much more time I would spend on my BlackBerry because of this, followed closely by what will they think of next?

Rollout’s QRious is currently on display at the Bent out of Shape exhibit at Design Exchange in Toronto, You have until October 10th to check it out!

jallum-lamp

I absolutely love these lamps. Designed by Yann Kersale in collaboration with Baccarat (ok that explains why they are so pretty!) the Jallum Baccarat Lamps feature a glow stick light form. Perfect for illuminating your walkway or patio, each features an upper crystal cut satin top and an andonized aluminum bottom. They really look stunning, don’t they?

Its going to cost you a pretty penny though. The Jallum Baccarat Lamps are expected to be available by next month and to retail at $3250!!
